This was such a great interview. And Holly, I absolutely loved the way you answered each question. It felt like you had so much fun answering them and so often you took us on a little journey, painting the type of vivid pictures you’re so good at creating.
Your article made me pause and reflect on my own relationship with external validation and self-trust. It's a powerful reminder that true fulfillment comes from within. I appreciate your vulnerability in sharing your journey and your encouragement to embrace our own unique paths. Thank you for reminding us that we are enough, just as we are.
Tom, thank you for bringing Holly to your readers. She's terrific, as were your questions. Such imaginative inquiries. Who among us doesn't now want a shot at seeing the Northern Lights bursting overhead?
Thank you for introducing me to Holly Starley! What a delight she is. As a fellow nomad who just attended a five-day nomad festival filled with skoolies like her Ruby, I am thrilled to make her acquaintance and become her latest subscriber.
Alaska! Of course. I think one of my favorite trips was north of Fairbanks up the Dalton Highway to the artic circle. I don't think I have favorite places but fave mini journeys. We never saw the northern lights - too old and tired to get out of the van at night. I love your story. What a magic memory and place.
We will be in Banos in a couple of weeks. I don't think we will be machete-ing anything.
I wish I had realized that I could travel on my own when I was younger. I was always looking for a partner. I think of guys I dated or liked when I was younger - or those that like me and think in retrospect how it would have never worked out, they weren't/aren't the traveling type. I got lucky to find one.
Oh you’ll love Banos. It’s a wonderful place with some lovely cafes and of course the hot springs. I was very unskilled with the machete. And fairly timid—which was a good thing.
Yeah, to me, all of Alaska was magical. The remoteness. The vastness. The history. I read a couple of novels set there—I always try to read books set in a place I’m traveling in—that upped the air of mystery quite nicely.
I’m glad I realized I could head out on my own. And you and Greg are one of those traveling couples who have something really special.
Tom, Duwan has done some fantastically interesting traveling. ;)
Thanks Tom, thanks Holly! Oh Holly, you have answered Toms Qs like no one else can! Your writing (so original, so delicious) takes me to all the places I want to go, inside and outside my self. You are simply the best!
Haha! I hadn’t seen that. But I needed to. And I related. 😂
Thank you, Elizabeth. Tom’s questions were fun indeed.
🌹🌻🌸💐💚💜❤️🌼😍🥰
This is some stellar emoji use, and I am here for it. Thanks, Mr Ma. 💫🦋🔥

Also, I loved and totally related to this:
“Where is the place you never want to go back to?
My 20s.”
— Amazing!
Really glad you enjoyed this Michael!
Thank you, thank you, my friend. I did have a lot of fun with these questions.
And right, the 20s. Sheesh! 🙃😃

Gah! Thank you. And glad to have met you back. Always lovely to meet a fellow nomad.
And Skoolie festivals are a riot, eh?!
Yes! Northwest Nomads was so fun. The people we met there were such a kind, generous, loving group. 💜

All this talk of Alaska is really making me want to go!
Highly recommend!

How splendid, Holly! I feel I got to know you better through the interview. It was wonderful.
Thank you, Jeanine. Tom’s questions were a delight to ponder. Perhaps you might let him now about some of your travels. 😉
Really glad you liked it Jeanine!
Where do I want to go: "my 20s" made me laugh. Me, no way, btw. Everything about this interview is "wander heart" Holly. Gotta love her!
😍 love your nickname for me, dear friend.
And never indeed. The 20s are only for the very young. 🤣
Thanks Tom, thanks Holly! Oh Holly, you have answered Toms Qs like no one else can! Your writing (so original, so delicious) takes me to all the places I want to go, inside and outside my self. You are simply the best!
Gah! Jan, I adore this comment. Thank you ever so much.
I had an absolute blast with Tom’s questions.
Loved your Speedy Boarding addition too. 🔥
So glad you liked it Jan!
This was a delight!
“Ah, the plight of a Libra who feels she was born to wander. “🙋♀️
Really glad you liked it Gillian!
⚖️♥️
Thanks ever so much for reading, Gillian.
You a Libra too?
I am!
When she answered "My 20s" for where she wouldn't want to go back to, I felt it in my soul. You couldn't pay me to go back there, lol.
Bwahaha! Right?!
Thanks for reading, David!
I came here to say exactly this!
Never, right?! I shudder to think. Thanks much for reading, Kate.
